Of Impeachment, Conflicts of Interest and T***p

T***p said he’s ceased to operate business while in the White House. Beyond being a liar and someone who makes things up, even if he were being honest about this, it’s pretty gosh darn impossible. Don’t click on this link; you will barf.

The network of organizations that he is connected to is massive.

Even if he were to actually sever any connections with anyone involved in any of his businesses, his mere knowledge of the existence of those businesses, combined with reading the paper [or the T***p equivalent of watching Fox News] and discovering current events about his businesses, these things mean that his actions as the White House occupant will be influenced by what makes him money.

If he were to divest of every business interest, assuming his net worth is above zero, he MAY be able to do the White House occupant job less tragically. But his ego, his name and his big picture goals for self-aggrandizement preclude this.

Plus, for him, what would be the point to build this grand empire if only to sell it all to run a country. Pshaw.

The dealings of the Trump Organization reach into so many countries that it is impossible to detail all the conflicts they present in a single issue of this magazine, but a Newsweek examination of the company has also found deep connections in China, Brazil, Bulgaria, Argentina, Canada, France, Germany and other countries.

Never before has an American candidate for president had so many financial ties with American allies and enemies, and never before has a business posed such a threat to the United States. If Donald Trump wins this election and his company is not immediately shut down or forever severed from the Trump family, the foreign policy of the United States of America could well be for sale.

So, as we pivot to a world of honesty, justice, truth and avoiding real and apparent conflicts of interest, please check out the graphic above and the link and search for whatever name/company interests you, so you too can see that the impeachment will come because he will make foreign policy and national interest decisions based in part of in whole on how it will affect his personal brand and wealth.

But be careful. As we pivot to a world of enhanced truth and integrity, remember how politics in BC is rife with “donations” that appear to be bribes, kickbacks and banana republic corruption. But that’s just how the New York Times sees it.

And don’t forget that while Clinton was criticized for odd donations to her foundation connected to her role as Secretary of State, remember that the Trudeau Foundation started receiving a massive influx of donations, including from foreign countries, after he became leader of the Liberal Party in April 2013. Plus, cash for access!

So we have a mess of apparent and real conflicts of interest to clean up.
