The Value of the Budweiser Boycott

Budweiser has been so coy pretending their Super Bowl pro-immigration ad wasn’t political. Of course it was. Own it.

But as people boycott something with the alternate spelling [Budwiser], we are able to more clearly see how people want to express their xenophobia. This improves the national and international dialogue about identity and rights. And this will be a good thing.

Granted, the commercial is hokey and no Spielberg work, but it makes a solid, compelling point about identity and history, and how many Americans seem to forget that their ancestors are mostly immigrants too.

Watch for yourself.
